On July 24, 2024, HOME hosted a Housing Conversation with Elected Officials at Gold Coast Transit, bringing together six local leaders to discuss housing policies and challenges affecting Ventura County.


Panelists included Assemblymember Jacqui Irwin, Supervisor Vianey Lopez, and councilmembers Rhodes (Simi Valley), Villaseñor (Fillmore), Valenzuela (Oxnard), and Rule (Ojai). The discussion covered pressing issues such as housing affordability, zoning policies, community development, and regional collaboration.


Attendees had the opportunity to engage directly with policymakers, gaining valuable insights into legislative efforts and potential solutions for the housing crisis.
