Housing Opportunities Made Easier (HOME) has elected new Executive Officers to serve for 2011: Alexander Russell – President; Sarah McCarthy – Vice President; Fred Ferro – Secretary; and Nancy Tillie – Treasurer.
has been elected as President of HOME. Mr. Russell is the Vice
President of Housing Development at Many Mansions in Thousand Oaks where he is responsible for all affordable housing development, government grants, and government relations. Mr. Russell is also the Chair of the 10th Annual Ventura County Housing Conference Committee, a member of the Southern California Association of Nonprofit Housing, and Toastmasters International.
has been elected Vice President of HOME, after joining the Board in
2010. Ms McCarthy is the Director of Project Development for McCarthy Companies in Oxnard. Ms McCarthy is also an Executive Board Member of the Young Professionals Network for the Boys and Girls Club of Oxnard/Port Hueneme, and Member of the National Association of Professional Women (NAPW), and participates on the Planning Committee for the 10th Annual Ventura County Housing Conference.
has been elected as Secretary of HOME. Mr. Ferro is a Vice President of NAI
Capital Commercial in Oxnard. Mr. Ferro has previously served as both Chair and Vice Chair for HOME. Mr. Ferro is also currently on the Board of Directors for the Ventura County Taxpayers Association, United Way, the Ventura County Housing Trust Fund, and Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, as well as a member of the American Industrial Real Estate Association (AIR).
has been elected as Treasurer of HOME. Ms. Tillie is the COO of Cabrillo
Economic Development Corporation. Ms. Tillie has been a HOME Board Member since 2007, and has participated over the years with the Ventura County Housing Trust Fund and Annual Ventura County Housing Conference. She is also on the Board of the Southern California Association of Non-Profit Housing (SCANPH).
Housing Opportunities Made Easier (HOME) was established as a nonprofit 501(c)3 in 2000 to address the need for a healthy balance between jobs and housing in Ventura County. HOME’s mission is to promote a diversity of housing opportunities which are essential for a healthy and sustainable quality of life for all Ventura County residents.
Since 2000, HOME has established a Steering Committee to form a County-Wide Housing Trust Fund, co-sponsored and produced 9 Annual Ventura County Housing Conferences, and hosted numerous public educational opportunities discussing housing issues in Ventura County.
